How good is the stereo in the Kia Soul?
The Kia Soul ranks among the most popular platforms the automaker has ever produced for the American market. Its unique geometry and efficient powerplant deliver a lot of capability in a compact package. In later versions, Kia has been quick to update the technology available in its cutting-edge wagon/crossover SUV. So, how good is the stereo in the Kia Soul? According to a news release from J.D. Power and Associates, the Kia Soul has one of the best multimedia entertainment systems in the entire automotive industry. Let’s take a look at what the product-rating agency had to say about the Soul and its digital equipment.
“Simply offering a variety of multimedia technologies isn’t enough,” Brent Gruber, Senior Director of Automotive Quality Practice at J.D. Power and Associates. “In order to enhance the vehicle experience, owners want those technologies to be problem-free and work as expected. In the compact segment, no vehicle demonstrates that high-level of multimedia quality better than the Kia Soul.”
J.D Power and Associates have given its Best Multimedia Quality award to the Kia Soul as a part of its 2019 Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study. In order to win this honor, a large number of Kia Soul owners were surveyed about several areas of the vehicle’s multimedia system, including audio quality, user interface and navigation capability. These and other features were compared against the number of problems that were reported by the same owners. According to J.D. Power and Associates, the Soul posted one of the best scores of any vehicle they evaluated.
Some of the things the multimedia/infotainment system can do include, Bluetooth connectivity, access to the Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® suites of applications as well as offering an available premium Harman/Kardon stereo system.
