Kia has made two power plant options available with the 2019 Kia Sorento. Base models are equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine attached to a six-speed automatic transmission. It will make 185 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. This is similar to what is offered by the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. However, Kia also offers a naturally aspirated 3.3-liter, V-6 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
