2019 Kia Sorento vs. 2019 Nissan Rogue

There are a lot of things contained within the Kia Sorento lineup available at Kia of Mankato that will give it important advantages over some of the toughest competition found in the crossover SUV segment of the automotive industry. A comparison between the 2019 Kia Sorento vs. 2019 Nissan Rogue will be a very clear illustration of these advantages. Taking a broad view of the two popular crossover SUVs reveals that the 2019 Sorento produces more power, has a higher maximum seating capacity and can be configured to accommodate more cargo than its Nissan Rogue rival. Additionally, the 2019 Kia Sorento can be equipped with a V-6 engine, an option not found with the 2019 Rouge. Kia of Mankato customers can schedule a test drive today by calling, 833-212-9673.

The chief difference between the 2019 Kia Sorento and 2019 Nissan Rogue is the amount of interior space the two vehicles make available to drivers and passengers. Kia of Mankato customers interested in the 2019 Sorento will be able to choose among five primary trim grades, all of which have seating for up to seven passengers. The 2019 Rogue only has two rows of seats and room for five riders. This advantage becomes even more clear when the interiors of both vehicles are setup for cargo-hauling. Owners of the current Sorento can configure the interior of their crossover SUV to hold up to 73 cubic-feet of cargo and as much as 38 cubic-feet when second row is in place. The 2019 Rogue would have trouble keeping pace with these numbers.

Performance Specs

Kia of Mankato shoppers will have two power plants to consider when they are outfitting the 2019 Sorento. The standard powertrain is a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine attached to a six-speed automatic transmission. It will make 185 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. This is noticeably more power than what all versions of the 2019 Nissan Rogue can offer. Under the hood of the 2019 Nissan Rogue is a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that is attached to a continuously variable transmission, producing 170 horsepower.

A 3.3-liter, V-6 engine can also be equipped with the 2019 Kia Sorento. The available upgrade will produce 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque. Making this choice will also allow owners of properly equipped versions of the 2019 Sorento tow up to 5,000 pounds or about five times more than the towing capacity of the 2019 Nissan Rogue.
