2020 Kia Sorento exterior driver side profile with man driving in snow

The 2020 Kia Sorento has 5 trims for you to choose from: L, LX, S V6, EX, and SX. While we are of the steadfast opinion that this model is a solid choice no matter which trim you go with, there are a few differences that may sway you towards one trim or another. So, let’s check out this trim comparison to see which one might suit you more.

To begin, the Kia Sorento L has a 2.4-Liter engine that gives you 185 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. This is the same for the LX trim as well. However, once you get to the S V6 and up, you’ll switch to a 3.3-Liter DOHC 24-Valve V6 engine with 290 hp and 252 lb.-ft. of torque. Reflecting this change, you’ll have a 6-speed automatic transmission for the first two trims, and an 8-speed automatic transmission paired with the other three.
