The Kia UVO infotainment system equipped in the 2020 Sportage is controlled by an 8-inch touchscreen and is compatible with the Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ suites of applications. The 2019 Ford Escape does offer this capability as well; however, it is not available on all versions. Buyers who choose the Escape will have to pick higher trim grades. The 2020 Sportage also offers a rearview camera, driver attention monitor and several other active safety systems that don’t appear on the 2019 Ford Escape unless the buyer picks a premium accessory package. Owners of the Kia Sportage will be able to have 60 cubic-feet of cargo volume. The Escape has slightly more space although the Ford crossover SUV and the 2020 Kia Sportage have the same maximum capacity of five passengers.
