How Kia is Giving Back this Season

Did you know families never receive a bill from St. Jude Children’s hospital? This frees parents to focus on their child. St. Jude is completely free because of its faithful supporters. This holiday season, Kia is joining efforts to cure childhood cancer by expanding its Accelerate the Good partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.

What is Accelerate the Good? 

Kia’s Accelerate the Good is all about helping those in need. Through the program, Kia has been serving others around the world since 2019. 

Kia has funded higher education, pushing students toward their dreams. During the pandemic, Kia helped high schools fund football programs and provided PPE to health centers. Kia’s love extends to wildlife as well. Kia has saved endangered sea turtles and found homes for animals in need.  

Kia Season of Giving Back Campaign

For every new Kia vehicle bought/leased at Kia of Mankato, Kia is giving $8.00 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® through Accelerate the Good. Kia promises a minimum donation of $1,000,000. 

Buying a Kia will provide a top-notch vehicle and aid St. Jude families in covering hospital expenses such as care, transport, lodging, and meals. Every dollar raised toward this campaign will help treat and defeat childhood cancer.

For their Season of Giving Back, Kia transported children and parents from St. Jude Hospital to the North Pole through a virtual “Holiday Joyride.” Participants began their journey to Santa’s home by climbing into an all-electric Kia EV6 mounted on hydraulic compressors. 

The EV6 then traveled along a 180-degree digital screen featuring festive tunnels, Christmas scenes, and a personalized message for each child. The patients’ faces lit up as they sighted a reindeer, an eagle, and even a narwhal.
